Regeneration of "Großes Torfmoor"
  The raised bog "Großes Torfmoor" is located in the north-east of North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany. The importance for nature conservation is documented by the following national and international nature conservation categories:
  • pSCi according to the FFH Directive (609 ha)
  • Special Protected Area according to the EU Bird Directive (79/409/EWG)
    (2496 ha)
  • Nature reserve (Naturschutzgebiet - 553 ha)

      The Naturschutzbund Deutschland Kreisverband Minden-Lübbecke is the project leader. The project is co-ordinated with and supported by the Council Kreis Minden-Lübbecke, the regional administration Detmold, the Ministery of Environment and Nature Conservation. Belting Umweltplanung (company for environmental planning) is engaged for the project management.
